GenuinePurity Liposomal NMN Review 2026: 250 mg, 96% Purity and the Liposome Question — yourhealthier.com

⚡ QUICK ANSWER

GenuinePurity Liposomal NMN contains 250 mg of 96% pure β-NMN per vegetarian capsule, taken once a day, in a liposomal formula. GenuinePurity's own page lists one bottle at $69, with lower prices for multi-bottle orders ($65 and $59) and a $49 subscription price. Press materials describe the bottle as 60 capsules, which works out to about $2.30 per 500 mg at the single-bottle price. The 250 mg daily dose matches several human trials, including a 12-week study in older adults that found higher blood NAD+ and faster walking times than placebo (Morifuji et al., 2024). No published study has compared liposomal NMN with standard NMN, so the liposome remains an untested feature.

✅ KEY TAKEAWAYS

GenuinePurity is the NMN brand of Leading Edge Health and one of the most heavily promoted NMN products in the US. Fortune's 2026 list named it "Best Natural NMN Supplement." The product itself is simple: one capsule, 250 mg of NMN at a stated 96% purity, in a liposomal formula. The dose is backed by trial data in healthy adults. The pricing sits in the middle of the market on a subscription and toward the top at single-bottle prices. Its central selling point, liposomal delivery, has not been tested against plain NMN in people, and a 2026 trial comparing sublingual with swallowed NMN found no difference in blood NAD+. Much of the online coverage of this brand is press-release content distributed through newswire services, which buyers should read as marketing.

What's on the Label Today

GenuinePurity's product page lists "96% Pure Nicotinamide Mononucleotide (NMN) - 250mg" per capsule, with directions to take one capsule daily, preferably with meals. Fortune's review lists the serving as one vegetarian capsule.

We took the current label details from GenuinePurity's NMN page on October 16, 2026. The page describes four selling points: liposomal encapsulation technology, a "clinically studied dose of 250mg," third-party lab testing and a certificate of authenticity. The FAQ on the same page answers "How much NMN is in your formula?" with "a clinically studied dose (250mg) of NMN."

The page does not spell out the liposomal ingredients in the text we reviewed. Some third-party reviews list a phospholipid such as sunflower lecithin as the carrier. If you avoid particular lecithin sources, check the Supplement Facts panel on your bottle.

An earlier version of this review said the product contained 500 mg per two-capsule serving. That was wrong. The brand's own page and its press materials agree on 250 mg per capsule, one capsule a day. We have also seen other sites, including an older comparison on our own blog, list 125 mg per capsule; we found no current source supporting that figure and are correcting our comparison page as well.

What "96% Pure" Means in Milligrams

GenuinePurity states its NMN is 96% pure. Many competitors advertise 99% or higher. If the 250 mg figure refers to the 96% material, each capsule delivers about 240 mg of β-NMN. That is a small difference in practice, but it is worth knowing when comparing labels.

Purity percentages on NMN labels describe how much of the raw powder is β-NMN, with the remainder made up of moisture, related compounds or residual material from manufacturing. A 96% figure is honest disclosure. It is also on the lower end of what the market advertises: several brands we review state 98% to 99% or above.

The label wording, "96% Pure Nicotinamide Mononucleotide (NMN) - 250mg," can be read two ways. Either the capsule holds 250 mg of material that is 96% NMN, which would be about 240 mg of NMN, or it holds 250 mg of NMN supplied as a 96% material. The difference is 10 mg a day and will not change outcomes. It does show how much a few words on a label can leave open.

What matters more than the purity percentage is identity. A certificate should confirm the material is the β form of NMN, which is the one the body uses to make NAD+. Press releases about GenuinePurity say it publishes certificates documenting potency. We did not review a lot-specific certificate for this update. Our NMN COA checklist lists the lines to look for.

Price Tiers and Cost per 500 mg

On GenuinePurity's site, one bottle is $69, larger orders bring the price to $65 or $59 per bottle, and a monthly subscription is $49 per bottle. At 60 capsules of 250 mg, that ranges from about $2.30 to $1.63 per 500 mg of NMN.

GenuinePurity's press materials describe 60 capsules per bottle. At one capsule a day, a bottle lasts 60 days, and the cost per day ranges from about $1.15 at single-bottle pricing to about $0.82 on subscription. That is reasonable for a 250 mg routine.

The picture changes when you compare on a common unit. We price NMN per 500 mg because many products and several trials use that amount.

Product NMN per capsule Cost per 500 mg (single purchase) Capsules for 500 mg
GenuinePurity Liposomal NMN 250 mg about $2.30 ($1.63 on subscription) 2
Renue by Science LIPO NMN 250 mg about $1.44 2
YourHealthier NMN (our product) 500 mg about $1.67 1
Double Wood NMN 125 mg about $3.26 4

Both GenuinePurity and Renue sell 250 mg liposomal capsules, so they make a fair head-to-head. At single-bottle prices, Renue costs about a third less per milligram. GenuinePurity's subscription narrows that gap. Our own capsule is listed because we sell it; it is a standard, non-liposomal 500 mg capsule. Our Renue review and Double Wood review cover those products in detail.

The Liposome Question in 2026

Liposomal encapsulation improves the absorption of some nutrients, and that is the basis for GenuinePurity's pitch. For NMN specifically, no published study has compared liposomal and standard capsules. The closest evidence is a 2026 trial in which sublingual NMN, another "better absorption" format, produced the same blood NAD+ as swallowed NMN over the first hour.

Liposomes are tiny spheres with a phospholipid shell. In drugs, nutraceuticals and cosmetics, they are used to protect fragile compounds and carry them across membranes, and a 2026 review describes their established uses across all three fields (Baltodano Viales et al., 2026). That general track record is real. Whether it applies to NMN, which is water-soluble and already absorbed when swallowed, is an open question.

Several studies show that plain oral NMN gets into the body. Single oral doses of 100 to 500 mg produced measurable NMN metabolites in blood in healthy men (Irie et al., 2020). In a 2026 Nestlé-funded trial of 65 healthy adults, 14 days of oral NMN or NR raised blood NAD+ by comparable amounts, while plain nicotinamide did not (Christen et al., 2026).

The only direct route comparison we know of tested sublingual against swallowed NMN in 14 healthy men. Over 60 minutes, blood NMN, nicotinamide and NAD+ did not differ between routes; two terminal breakdown products, 2PY and 4PY, rose more after the sublingual dose (Wakabayashi et al., 2026). Sublingual is not the same as liposomal, but the study is a useful caution: a delivery format that sounds better did not raise NAD+ more when someone finally measured it.

A 2021 review comparing NAD precursors called bioavailability an area with real gaps (Palmer et al., 2021). Until a trial measures blood NAD+ after liposomal and plain NMN at matched doses, the liposome is a hypothesis you pay for. Our guide to NMN powder vs capsules vs sublingual covers the format question across products.

Is 250 mg Enough? Trials at This Dose

For raising blood NAD+ in healthy adults, yes. Four placebo-controlled or single-arm trials used 250 mg a day for 8 to 12 weeks and saw NAD+ increase. Studies looking at physical performance more often used 300 to 1,200 mg, where 250 mg sits at the low end.

Study Daily dose Length Participants Result
Okabe 2022 250 mg 12 weeks 30 healthy adults Safe; blood NAD+ increased
Igarashi 2022 250 mg 6 or 12 weeks Healthy older men NAD+ rose; nominal gains in gait speed and grip; no change in body composition
Morifuji 2024 250 mg 12 weeks 60 older adults No difference in the main stepping test; shorter 4-meter walking time and higher NAD+ than placebo
Yamaguchi 2024 250 mg 8 weeks 11 healthy men, open label Well tolerated; NAD+ increased
Yoshino 2021 250 mg 10 weeks 25 postmenopausal women in a metabolic study A muscle measure of insulin response improved vs placebo
Yi 2023 300, 600 or 900 mg 60 days 80 healthy middle-aged adults NAD rose with dose; six-minute walk distance improved in all NMN groups
Liao 2021 300, 600 or 1,200 mg 6 weeks Amateur runners Ventilatory thresholds improved at 600 and 1,200 mg; VO2max unchanged

Two details in that table are worth reading carefully, because earlier coverage of NMN, including a previous version of this page, misstated them. Igarashi's trial found no effect on body composition. Liao's trial found no change in VO2max; the improvements were in ventilatory thresholds, a different measure of aerobic fitness.

The Morifuji result is a good example of how modest the 250 mg findings are. The main outcome, a stepping test, did not differ from placebo. A secondary walking measure did. That is a real signal and also a small one. Our NMN dosage guide covers how people decide whether to stay at 250 mg or move higher.

Reading the Press Coverage

GenuinePurity receives a lot of online coverage. Some of it is independent, such as Fortune's 2026 roundup. A large share is press-release content distributed through newswire services and republished on finance and news sites. Press releases are written by or for the company, so read their claims as marketing.

Search for GenuinePurity NMN and you will find long "reviews" on sites such as Barchart, Yahoo Finance and AccessNewswire. These are press releases distributed through newswire services, which syndicate company-supplied text to partner sites. That is a normal and legal marketing practice. The issue for readers is that the format can look like editorial coverage, and the content is written to sell.

Those releases contain useful facts, such as the 250 mg dose and the bottle size, which match the brand's own page. They also contain claims a reader should check independently. For example, different releases describe the money-back guarantee with different numbers of days. When press materials disagree with each other, the brand's current checkout page is the source to trust.

Fortune's 2026 list named GenuinePurity "Best Natural NMN Supplement," alongside other category picks. Editorial roundups like that are independent of the brand, though many such lists earn affiliate commissions. Our own reviews are also not neutral in one respect: we sell an NMN product, which is why it is labeled as ours in the comparison table.

Safety and Regulatory Status

At 250 mg a day, GenuinePurity is well inside the doses tested in human safety studies, which have gone up to 1,250 mg a day for four weeks. A 2026 meta-analysis found oral NMN well tolerated. NMN is lawful as a US dietary supplement following the FDA's September 2025 reversal.

The highest-dose safety trial gave 1,250 mg of NMN daily for up to four weeks to 31 healthy adults, with no changes beyond normal variation and no severe adverse events (Fukamizu et al., 2022). A 2026 systematic review and meta-analysis found no clear increase in adverse events or liver test abnormalities with oral NMN, and also concluded that broad metabolic benefits were not evident (Yang et al., 2026). A separate review of 113 NAD-related studies described clear biological activity but inconclusive effectiveness for anti-aging and wellness outcomes (Gallagher et al., 2026).

The liposomal carrier adds a small consideration. Phospholipid carriers are generally well tolerated, but people with sensitivities to soy or sunflower should confirm the source on the label.

On regulation, NMN spent nearly three years in limbo after the FDA said in 2022 that it was excluded from the supplement definition. The FDA reversed that view in a letter dated September 29, 2025. Our NMN FDA status timeline covers the details. People who are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking prescription medication should check with a doctor first, and our NMN side effects guide lists commonly reported effects.

Who GenuinePurity Fits

It fits someone who wants a single 250 mg capsule a day, prefers a vegetarian capsule, and is comfortable paying for a liposomal formula whose advantage is unproven. Someone who wants 500 mg or more, or the lowest cost per milligram, has better-priced options.

The once-a-day minimalist. One capsule, one ingredient, a trial-backed dose. For this buyer, GenuinePurity is convenient, and on subscription the daily cost is under a dollar.

The liposome believer. If you are convinced liposomal delivery matters, GenuinePurity and Renue's LIPO NMN offer the same 250 mg capsule format, and Renue is cheaper per milligram at single-bottle prices. Compare current prices before choosing.

The 500 mg user. Taking two GenuinePurity capsules a day halves the bottle's life to 30 days and doubles the cost to $69 a month at single-bottle pricing. A 500 mg capsule is simpler and usually cheaper.

The skeptic. If you want evidence before paying for a format, a standard NMN capsule at the same dose delivers what the trials tested. You can always try a liposomal product later and judge for yourself.

What Changed in This Update

We rewrote this review on October 16, 2026. The earlier version listed the wrong dose (500 mg per two capsules), misdescribed two studies, and stated an NMN-versus-NR result that the source does not support. All product facts now come from GenuinePurity's own page or are attributed, and all study descriptions follow the published abstracts.

Specifically, the earlier version said Igarashi's trial showed body composition changes (it did not), that Liao's runners improved VO2max (they did not; ventilatory thresholds improved), and that NMN raised NAD+ more than NR in a 2026 comparison (the study found NMN and NR raised it comparably). It also included a brand ingredient list and guarantee length we could not confirm. Those have been corrected or removed.

GenuinePurity and Renue LIPO, Side by Side

The two best-known liposomal NMN capsules both hold 250 mg per capsule. Renue's LIPO NMN costs less per milligram at single-bottle prices and has a third-party audit reporting a β-NMN identity certificate. GenuinePurity has a lower subscription price than its own list price and a stated 96% purity. Neither has published data showing its liposome improves NAD+ levels.

GenuinePurity Liposomal NMN Renue by Science LIPO NMN
NMN per capsule 250 mg (96% purity stated) 250 mg
Label serving 1 capsule 2 capsules
Capsules per bottle 60 (per press materials) 90
Single-bottle price $69 $64.95
Cost per 500 mg about $2.30 (about $1.63 on subscription) about $1.44
Documentation we could cite Brand says COAs are published; lot not reviewed here Independent audit reports a β-NMN identity certificate for a March 2026 batch
Other formats from the brand NMN plus related longevity products Powder, sublingual, gel, enteric-coated and more

For someone set on a liposomal capsule, these are the two obvious candidates, and the choice mostly comes down to price and label serving. GenuinePurity's one-capsule serving gives 250 mg a day and a 60-day bottle. Renue's two-capsule serving gives 500 mg a day and a 45-day bottle, though you can take one capsule and stretch it to 90 days.

If documentation matters most, ask each brand for the certificate that matches your lot before you buy, and compare what each one reports. A certificate with a β-NMN identity test, a numeric assay and heavy metal results is the standard to hold both to.

How to Take It, and How Long to Give It

The label says one capsule daily, preferably with a meal. The 250 mg trials ran 8 to 12 weeks before measuring results, so judging the product after a week or two is too soon. Take it at the same time each day, usually in the morning.

Most human NMN trials gave the dose once daily in the morning. If you notice any change in sleep when you take NMN later in the day, move it to breakfast. Taking it with food, as GenuinePurity suggests, may reduce mild stomach upset for people prone to it.

The trials at 250 mg measured outcomes at 6, 8 and 12 weeks. Morifuji's walking result appeared at 12 weeks, not at 4. Give any NMN product at least two months of consistent use before deciding whether it is doing anything for you, and keep a few notes on sleep, energy and exercise along the way so you are not relying on memory.

Store the bottle closed, in a cool, dry cupboard. NMN is reasonably stable when dry. Heat and humidity are what degrade supplements fastest, so the bathroom cabinet is a poor choice.

Questions to Put to the Brand

Before buying, ask for the certificate for your lot, confirmation that it includes a β-NMN identity test and heavy metal results, the phospholipid source in the liposome, and the current guarantee terms. A brand confident in its product will answer all four quickly.

The lot certificate. A certificate for "NMN" in general is not the same as one for the bottle you hold. Ask for the document matching the lot number printed on your label.

Identity and contaminants. Ask whether the certificate confirms β-NMN identity and reports lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury with numeric results.

The liposome. Ask which phospholipid is used and from what source, and how much of it each capsule contains. This matters for allergies and for judging how much of the capsule is NMN versus carrier.

The guarantee. Press materials have described the money-back period differently. Confirm the current terms on the checkout page before ordering, and keep a copy.

These questions are fair for any NMN brand, including ours.

What the Brand Page Promises, and How That Reads Against the Evidence

GenuinePurity's page says its 250 mg dose has been "clinically studied and shown to boost NAD+," which is fair: several trials at 250 mg found higher blood NAD+. The page also promises you can "feel young again," which no NMN trial has measured or shown.

The first claim holds up. Okabe, Igarashi, Morifuji and Yamaguchi all used 250 mg a day and reported higher NAD+ or NAD+ metabolites. Those studies tested plain NMN, not GenuinePurity's liposomal product, but the dose claim stands on its own.

The second kind of claim is a different matter. Phrases about feeling young again describe a subjective result that trials did not set out to measure. The measured outcomes at 250 mg were blood markers, a walking time, and a muscle measure of insulin response in one metabolic study. Those are real, and they are narrow.

We point this out because it shapes expectations. Someone who buys NMN expecting to feel decades younger is likely to be disappointed. Someone who buys it to raise NAD+, with modest and uncertain effects on how they feel, has expectations that match the data.

GenuinePurity NMN FAQ

Short answers on dose, price, purity and the liposomal claim, based on the brand's page and the studies linked above.

How much NMN is in GenuinePurity Liposomal NMN?

250 mg of 96% pure NMN per capsule, one capsule a day, according to GenuinePurity's product page. Some older sources list different amounts; the brand's current page is the reference.

Does liposomal NMN absorb better?

Not proven. No study has compared liposomal and standard NMN. A 2026 trial comparing sublingual and swallowed NMN found no difference in blood NAD+ over an hour (Wakabayashi et al., 2026).

How much does it cost?

The brand lists $69 for one bottle, $65 or $59 per bottle on larger orders, and $49 per bottle on subscription. At 60 capsules, that is about $0.82 to $1.15 a day at the label dose.

Is 96% purity good?

It is acceptable and honestly disclosed, though several competitors advertise 98% to 99% or higher. Identity testing that confirms β-NMN matters more than a one- or two-point purity difference.

Is GenuinePurity vegan?

Fortune lists the capsule as vegetarian. Check the label for the source of the liposomal phospholipid if you follow a strict diet.

Should I take one or two capsules?

The label says one. That matches the 250 mg trials. Two capsules give 500 mg, which some trials used, but halve how long a bottle lasts. Ask a doctor if you plan to go above the label dose.

Who makes GenuinePurity?

Press materials identify Leading Edge Health as the company behind the GenuinePurity brand. The same company sells other longevity products under the GenuinePurity name, so check you are ordering the NMN-only formula.

Where can I compare other NMN brands?

See our best NMN supplements guide, What Is NMN?, and our own capsule on the YourHealthier NMN product page.
